Welcome to Flam, I'm Darren!

​ 

I create unique homewares from old unwanted drum kits.

 

Each piece is made by me at my Edinburgh Studio, and so far, they have found homes in six countries across three continents.

 

My work has featured in GNI Magazine, has sold in stores across the country such as Sebs Urban Jungle {Edinburgh} Concrete and Cacti {North Yorkshire} and Aeble {Anstruther}, and proudly decorates venues such as Grindhaus (Glasgow), Thorne Records (Edinburgh), Rescue Rooms (Nottingham), Kinfolk (Dundee), Hare of the Dog (Edinburgh) and many more.

 

Along this journey, I founded my own creative studios in Edinburgh called

Nook & Cranny, providing affordable studio spaces to 14 artists, makers & small businesses. I also set up my very own podcast called None of yer Business, discussing the realities of running a small business in the creative industries with other likeminded creatives.

More recently, I launched my Patreon page called Flam Tap providing exclusive rewards and extras to all of you lovely folk that support me to continue doing what I love.
